In order to volunteer in any Fox Chapel Area School District school, every individual over 18 years of age must obtain their childcare clearances (FBI fingerprinting, PA Criminal History Clearance and PA Child Abuse Clearance).  For more information on how to obtain these clearances, please visit here or see the graphics below. Approval lasts for five years from the date of the earliest clearance.

Being an approved volunteer will open up opportunities for you to help with huge events like classroom parties, field trips, Fall Festival, and Field Day.  And there are the every-day events like helping with a cooking lesson, making copies for the teachers, teaching an art lesson, etc.  You can find out about how to get involved in these opportunities at Hartwood PTO meetings, or by following Hartwood Elementary PTO on Facebook.
